In response to the mysterious disappearance of two boys from the Raj Bagh area of Kathua district, the police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Senior officials have assured the families that every possible effort is being made to locate the missing boys.

DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, visited Raj Bagh and Marheen villages, where he met the families of the missing boys, Deenu (15) and Rehmat Ali (12). He reassured them that the police are conducting a relentless investigation and taking all necessary measures to find them at the earliest. DySP Border Dheeraj Katoch and SHO Raj Bagh Ajay Chib accompanied him during the visit.

Two young boys went to graze cattle in the vicinity of Bhamberwan Goat Farm but never came home. Worried, the families lodged a writ complaint at Raj Bagh Police Station, to which police reacted swiftly. A formal case was registered, and the investigation was launched without any delay. DIG Sharma instructed the concerned officials to coordinate with the police in Punjab, Jammu, and Udhampur to gather any possible leads. He further directed the circulation of the missing boys' photographs and the formation of special search teams to speed up search and recovery. The disappearance of these minors comes just days after the bodies of three local residents were recovered from a deep gorge in the Billawar area, further raising doubts among residents. Authorities have asked the public to come forward with any information that might help trace the missing boys.
