The building of the Ayodhya Ram Temple has taken a big step forward as the Ram Darbar finally starts to look like something special on the ground floor, apart from the installation of the first of the golden doors-a strong symbolism of tradition and worship. Ram Darbar will be adorned with intricately carved idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman, artists putting in hard work to make every aspect of it reflect the sanctity and majesty that this sacred space is intended to be.
The first golden door installation is an architectural and spiritual climax of the construction of the temple. 46 doors are being fitted in the Ram Temple, and 42 of them will be gold-plated-each costing around 100 kg of gold plating. The doors with gold-plated motifs and mythological figures are being installed on the top floors and the sanctum sanctorum, making the temple's grandeur all the more dazzling. The initial of the golden doors, measuring 12 feet in height and 8 feet wide, was mounted before consecrating the temple and is being considered a symbol of temple completion.
As per the temple construction committee, 99% of the work is done, and the whole temple will be completed by June 5, 2025.
Ram Darbar will be fixed on May 23, and religious rituals will begin subsequently, culminating in ceremonial enshrinement of Lord Ram in early June. When complete, the temple will be opening up all its shrines to the devout, including new temples built for Maharishi Valmiki, Shri Vashisht, Ahilya, Nishadraj, Shabri Mata, and Agastya Muni.
The recent developments have created immense joy among the people of the nation, with Ram Temple being an inspiring symbol of religion, heritage, and integration of the country.
The recent installation of golden doors and the Ram Darbar is not merely a symbol of structural development, but it carries spiritual significance with it to this much-awaited structure.
