An incident of fire erupted in the Badamibagh Army cantonment, Srinagar, on Saturday which resulted in the killing of one non-local civilian said the officials.
The fire started in a civil canteen that is within the cantonment territory as the officials said it affected the building.
The deceased was only identified as Rajesh Kumar, a civil contractor from Haryana. The victim, Kumar, got severe burn injuries in the mishap and was taken to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital in haste.
However, he was confirmed dead after he was rushed to a health facility with the assistance of a doctor.
The fire was quickly put out shortly after erupting, the officials concluded on reporting.
