Kulgam Police arrest two drug peddlers in Qaimoh

According to a latest update, Kulgam Police have arrested two people linked in drug peddling case in the Qaimoh area. The police seized contraband substance during the operation.

The two were found to be suspicious  dueto their behaviour at Gufbal, Qaimoh checkpoint. During investigation, police recovered 2 kilograms of grinded cannabis and 200 grams of charas-like substances from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie and Arif Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Qaimoh. A case under FIR No. 03/2025, Section 8/20, 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at the Qaimoh Police Station. Further investigations are underway.

Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment to combating drug-related crimes and warned those involved in illegal drug trade that they will be apprehended and face the full consequences of the law.
