Jammu and Kashmir Youth National Conference Provincial President and MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar on Tuesday said the party will work to strengthen and expand urban healthcare infrastructure in Srinagar.
Salman visited Gousia Hospital and UPHC Maharaj Gunj in Khanyar and met the administrative heads to discuss ways to improve patient care at these health centers. He asked about upgradation of bed capacity, critical diagnostic equipment and other patient care facilities.
He directed the administrative head of Gousia Hospital to prepare a detailed project report of 10-20 crore extension of the hospital to meet the growing demand of patients. He assured full support to the hospital administration to enhance the capacity of the hospital and provide best treatment. He said work on the extension will start soon.
Salman also visited UPHC Maharaj Gunj to see the ongoing extension work at the health center which is going on at a cost of 2.63 crore. He met the hospital administration who assured him that the work will be completed soon. He assured full support to the administration to enhance the infrastructure and critical care equipment at the facility.
According to reports, during his visit Salman met the patients and said Gousia and UPHC Maharaj Gunj hospitals are the example of MLA Ali Muhammad Sagar’s commitment to provide best medical care to the urban population of Srinagar especially in Khanyar constituency. He said these centers will get special attention of the MLA to improve patient care.
Salman also met the patients and attendants and promised to consider their suggestions to improve patient care at these facilities.
