'Save Dal' documentary screened at University of Kashmir

In his presidential address, VC Kashmir University praised Jazbaat 24 for holding such a documentary in Markaz e Noor

A short documentary about Dal Lake was screened at Markaz-i Noor Centre for the Shaikh-ul Aalam Studies University of Kashmir which was documented by Jazzbaat 24. This programme was organized by Jazzbaat 24 in collaboration with Markaz-i Noor Centre for Shaikh-ul Aalam Studies University of Kashmir.
 
In his presidential address, VC Kashmir University praised Jazbaat 24 for holding such a documentary in Markaz e Noor.

He stated that the current generation is full of ideas and positive fervour, and they are eager to contribute to the preservation of spiritual and environmental treasures.

In his keynote address, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah Chairman Kashmir Society International stated that Kashmir's identity is rooted in its spiritual strength and hydropower, which includes its water bodies. He stated that Dal Lake was a symbol of beauty and splendour up until 1975, but this documentary by Jazzbaat 24 has opened our eyes by exposing horrific atrocities.

Further, he said that the rapid degradation of Dal Lake over the previous 70 years should be thoroughly explored so that better and inventive steps can be adopted starting today to restore its former beauty.

The idea behind the making of this music video was to showcase the problems faced by Shikara walas and minorities, not only promoting the scenic beauty but also its rich culture, music, food, the hospitality of people, culture, traditions, and other aspects of Kashmir at the same time, advocating peace said Nilanjan DasGupta CMD INDIA SCANNER NEWS NETWORK PVT LTD. The theme of the video was “Save Dal” mission impossible!!!. 

On the occasion, all Prestigious personalities were honoured with awards.

On the occasion Vice-Chancellor of Kashmir University Talat Hussain was chief guest, while Traiq Patloo, Mr G.N.Khaki, Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, Moulana Bilal, Mr G.R.Siah were guests of honour.
