Kulgam Police seize 02 Tractors and a JCB machine and arrests 03 persons involved in Illegal Mining

April 08: In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Kulgam Police have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the district and seized 03 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals which includes "02 Tractors and 01 JCB machine" from the Nallah Vaishow and arrests 03 persons namely Umer Amin Padder R/O Okey, Ghulam Hassan Ahangar R/O Bhan and Fayaz Ismail Dar R/O HM Gori. Accordingly, FIR No 29/2025 at PS Kulgam and FIR No. 20/2025 at PS DH Pora have been registered and investigation is going on in both cases.

These actions, underscore the commitment of Kulgam Police to curb illegal mining and preserve environmental integrity in the district.
