INSTALL 400 KVA TRANSFORMER IN OUR AREA, NOORBAGH LOCALS APPEAL TO PDD

Srinagar, Dec 7: ‘Al-Falah’ Committee of Bagh-e-Lala Pandit locality in the Noor Bagh area of Srinagar city Wednesday appealed to Power Development Department to install a 400 KVA transformer in their area.

The Committee said that a 250 KVA transformer had been installed in the area 10 years ago for 30 households but that number has grown to 150.

 “Every alternate day this 250 KVA transformer develops a snag as a result the area reels under darkness. A couple of days ago, it was repaired but again was damaged due to overloading,” the Committee members told news agency Kashmir News Trust.

The ‘Al-Falah’ Committee made a fervent appeal to authorities to install 400 KVA transformers in the area. [KNT]
