This year, Kashmir has been battling a highly scorching summer, with temperatures reaching record levels. After a 15-day summer vacation, the Jammu and Kashmir Government initially announced school timings from 7:30 to 11:30, causing distress to parents and kids.

School is major institution of excellence for students.

However, in a major relief, the Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, announced revised timings.

From Monday, schools within Srinagar Municipal limits will function from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and schools outside MC Srinagar limits will function from 9 am to 3 pm.

The parents, students, and teachers of Kashmir are delighted over the new timing, which gives them sufficient morning preparation time and extra time for studies in school.

This change is expected to bring a positive impact on the students' academic performance and overall well-being, providing a much-needed respite from the sweltering heat.

In latest development, the Education Minister Sakina Itoo also opined that any extension in summer vacations would have hampered syllabus completion on time .
