Kulgam, April 25: As part of an intensified crackdown on anti-national elements, Kulgam Police on Thursday conducted widespread raids at the residences of suspected militant associates across South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official confirmed that the operations were carried out under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal. The raids aimed to disrupt militant networks and gather intelligence on those providing logistical or other support to militants in the region.
Searches were conducted in several areas including Qazigund, Yaripora, Devsar, Mirbazar, Kulgam town, DH Pora, Manzgam, Nihama Yaripora, Behibagh, and other adjoining locations.
“Searches were part of a sustained effort to curb anti-national activities and ensure peace and stability in the region,” the official said.
