2-YEAR OLD GIRL PASSED AWAY AFTER FALLING INTO BOREWELL IN MADHYA PRADESH

A 2-year-old girl died after falling into a borewell in a village in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district. The girl, who was identified as Asmita, fell into the borewell in the morning while playing outside her home. She was rescued after an 8-hour operation by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and local authorities, but she was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

The incident took place at Kajari Barkheda village, which is 90km away from the headquarters of the district .Vishvas Sarang, education minister and also district in charge ordered the officials to immediately start a rescue action.

The NDRF team reached the village and started the rescue operation. They used a JCB machine to dig a parallel pit and then lowered a cage into the borewell. Asmita was finally rescued and taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead.

The cause of death is not yet known. This is the second such incident in Madhya Pradesh in the past two months. In June, a 10-year-old boy died after falling into a borewell in the state's Burhanpur district.
