7 dead in ambulance-truck collision in UP’s Bareilly district

The fatal accident took place in the early hours of the day on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway. Police inform the ambulance first hit the road divider, lost control, and eventually collided with the truck, leading to the death of 7 people including the driver

Seven people lost their lives when an ambulance rammed into a truck in the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh today. The police said that out of seven six were members of the family from Pilbhit and were returning from Delhi after the check-up.



The fatal accident took place in the early hours of the day on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway. Police inform the ambulance first hit the road divider, lost control, and eventually collided with the truck, leading to the death of 7 people including the driver.



“The victims have all been identified and their family members were informed. Once they arrive, the bodies will be sent for post-mortem,” police said.



Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended his condolence to the bereaved families. The CM has also asked district officials to provide treatment to those who were injured in the accident.
