After Embassy Group, Income Tax Dept raids owners of Kesar Pan Masala in Kanpur

The Income Tax department carried out multiple raids in the premises of the owners of Kesar Pan Masala Company, Dilbagh tobacco group and India Bulls.  


the I-T Department carried out searches at five locations, including the residence of the owner of Pan Masala Company in Swaroop Nagar, an office in Nayaganj, and a factory located in Dada Nagar in Kanpur.


As per the sources, the raids were conducted in a well-planned manner and the I-T officials combed through and scrutinized the documents linked to transactions to Embassy Group. During the raids several pan masala traders were also scrutinized who had close their business in Kanpur.

 


Earlier, the residence of executives and office buildings associated with the Embassy Group were raided by the Income Tax department. The raid was conducted because the company was suspected of evading tax. Raids were conducted at the Embassy Arcade Apartment in Bengaluru's Sadashivnagar owned by Narpat Singh, the Director of the Embassy Group.
