Agnipath recruitment protest: “we’ll meet the president, demand withdrawal of Agnipath scheme”, says Ajay Maken

Congress Party is incessantly aiming attacks at the Centre for launching the military recruitment scheme Agnipath. On Sunday, Congress party top brass leaders and workers gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and held a ‘Satyagraha’ to mark the party’s protest against the scheme.

Congress leaders who marked their presence at the Priyanka Gandhi, Harish Rawat, Jairam Ramesh, Salman Khurshid, Sachin Pilot, Deepender Hooda and Ajay Maken were among many who were seen in the 'Satyagraha'.

Talking about the future line of action, Congress leader Ajay Maken on Monday said, “we'll sit on Satyagraha at Jantar Mantar today at 5 pm we’ll meet the President and demand that Agnipath scheme be withdrawn...The scheme should first be discussed with youth & in Parliament, but before that, it should be withdrawn: Congress'

Congress leaders have criticized the Agnipath scheme introduced by the BJP government. They allege that the scheme is not advantageous for the youth of the nation.
