The recruitment, training, and modernization of the police force, along with improvements to the infrastructure and coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs in light of challenges, according to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have all contributed to a steady improvement in the state's law and order situation.

CM Yogi was addressing at a two-day Chintan Shivir (contemplation camp), which was chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah and started on Thursday at Surajkund in the Faridabad, Haryana. The Ministry of Home Affairs is in charge of organising the camp, which is attended by Chief Ministers, Home Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Administrators of Union Territories.

Giving details on the UP model of law and order, CM Yogi stated that improvements to the police's infrastructure, reforms to the force, and connection to cutting-edge technology had produced positive outcomes in terms of crime reduction and establishing rule of law in the state.

He stated that organised crime has been eradicated in the state due to the zero tolerance policy towards crime and criminals, adding that such offenders are either in jail or have been encountered by police.

Regarding actions taken against the mafia, CM Yogi stated that illegal properties worth Rs 44.59 billion owned by the mafia and gangsters had either been seized or destroyed. He also stated that the government was building colleges for girls and homes for people from the weaker sections on the impounded properties, emphasising that this had sent a positive message to the public.

He said that in 18 cases involving recognised mafias, 11 mafia dons and their 28 accomplices got life sentences, hard prison terms, or fines, while two of them got death sentences. These police measures have improved everyone's sense of security, but especially that of women, girls, the weakest parts of society, and businessmen. CM Yogi provided details on the falling crime graph in Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, according to CM Yogi, "all important festivals, fairs, and processions have taken place peacefully in the state due to the state government's dedication to maintaining communal harmony in the state. He noted that the state's many regions are in complete harmony. He exuded confidence in the meeting's ability to significantly advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of making India "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat," which is being hosted under the direction of the Home Minister.

A campaign called Mission Shakti is being conducted in the state, according to CM Yogi, to ensure the safety, honour, and freedom of women and girls. He noted that the campaign's extensive police presence had given women and girls a great sense of security. When it comes to the severity of the punishments for crimes against women, Uttar Pradesh tops the nation.
