Despite the bad weather, search operations are ongoing in the Tupul general area

Due to heavy rains and recent landslides last night, search activities by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Territorial Army, SDRF, and NDRF at the incident site in Tupul, Manipur are still ongoing. To speed up the search process, the Through Wall Radar and Search and Rescue Dog are being used. Along with the 13 members of the Territorial Army and five civilians that were successfully saved, 23 members of the Territorial Army and 11 civilians have had their lifeless remains discovered thus far.

IAF aircraft and an Indian Army chopper transported the mortal remains of seven Territorial Army soldiers to their respective home bases in Kolkata, Bagdogra, and Agartala. In the morning in Imphal, GOC RedShield Division and IG IGAR (South) accorded them full military honours.
