Incessant rains have once again made the situation in Assam grim as the state is once again getting buffeted by the floods.
As per the reports provided by Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Assam was already countenancing floods and landslides for the past six days causing colossal damage in the state.
118 revenue circles and more than 42,00 villages of 32 districts were reportedly inundated by the floods. Also, 3 million people have been affected by the floods, and around 1.5 million of the affected were displaced across the state.
Stating about the relief provided to the flood hits, ASDA informed that more than 302 relief centers have been open in the state to cater to the affected people.
Also, National Disaster Response Force also goes hand in hand with district administrations to rescue and evacuate people from the deluged areas.
