GST RECEIPTS REACHED RS 1,51,718 CRORE IN OCTOBER, THE SECOND-HIGHEST AMOUNT SINCE APRIL

Only the April 2022 collection was more than the amount of GST income that was received in October. The government received Rs 1,51,718 crore in revenue in October. Out of this, CGST totaled Rs. 26,039 billion, SGST Rs. 33,396 billion, IGST Rs. 81,778 billion (including Rs. 37,297 billion collected on goods import), and Cess Rs. 10,505 billion (including Rs 825 crore collected on import of goods).


The government paid regular payment of Rs 32,883 crore from IGST and Rs 37,626 crore to CGST, according to information released by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday. Additionally, it arbitrarily paid out Rs 22,000 crore to the states and the centre.

The second-highest monthly collection—behind only the collected from April 2022, according to the ministry—was in October. Additionally, the GST collection passed the Rs. 1.50 lakh crore barrier in October for the second time. Domestic transaction revenue was also the second-highest in October.
