The Special Investigation Team established by the state government, according to Harsh Sanghvi, is mandated to update the Chief Minister each day with information about the investigations and conclusions. He also stated that the local police have already begun an investigation into the tragedy and will enlist the aid of the forensic science laboratory to gather scientific evidence.

On Sunday evening, Sanghvi said, "IPC sections for Culpable Homicide Act which cause death committed intentionally and abettor will be invoked in the criminal complaint, the process is underway to lodge the complaint."

"Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel reached Morbi last night. He has been holding the command of search and rescue ops since yesterday. According to authorities from the Défense Ministry, three Indian Coast Guard teams that include divers, gear, boats, and other materials have been stationed in Morbi since last night.

After the event, Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel personally oversaw the rescue effort and provided instructions when he arrived at the scene at midnight.

In addition to this, teams from other locations started showing up at the location. The injured were given emergency care at the Morbi Civil Hospital by over 40 medical professionals from several clinics, Rajkot PDU Hospital, and Surendra Nagar Civil Hospital.
