Gyanvapi mosque survey: Court rejects plea to replace advocate commissioner, seeks completion of survey by May 17

The verdict was delivered by the court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar after hearing the arguments of both sides. The court also heard the matter relating to the opening of the two basements located inside the mosque complex for videography

The plea to change the court-appointed advocate commissioner for conducting a video survey of the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri complex was rejected by a district court on May 12. The court further directed to appoint two additional advocate commissioners to assist the already appointed advocate commissioner.




Abhay Nath Yadav, who is representing the Gyanvapi mosque management committee, said that the court also sought the completion of the survey by May 17 and the submission of its report.

Earlier, The Gyanvapi mosque management committee had asked for the replacement of court official Ajay Kumar Mishra and had filed an application for the same. The committee had alleged that he was showing signs of partiality in the case.
