IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar visited Sheikhpora, Budgam and interacted with Kashmiri Pandits and assured security enhancement

"Better and improved security cover in the days ahead," the IGP Kashmir informed the KPs.

The Kashmir police chief paid a visit toSheikhpora, where the pandit community has been protesting for the past six days over the death of Rahul, a Revenue employee who was shot dead inside Tehsil Office Chadoora.

"Everyone, including the police, army, and even local people, will have to battle terrorism; I urge protesters not to do anything that will help our adversary succeed; terrorists and their masters' goal to push you out of Kashmir must be stopped by you and us collectively," the IGP added. 

He called the attack on the KP community a "ploy to push them out of Kashmir," which he vowed would never succeed.

"I promise protesters that any flaws in the security grid involving the safety and security of KPs will be resolved very soon," he declared on behalf of the Army, Police, and other security personnel.
