Lithium is the soul of batteries and is just tracked down in a small bunch of nation. The Geological Survey of India has said that it has found Lithium storage without precedent for the country.

India has as of late started hoping to support supplies of key minerals, including lithium, which will be critical to seeking after electric vehicle plans. In an explanation, the GSI said that assessed assets of 5.9 million tons of lithium have been found in Reasi locale of the northern association region of Jammu and Kashmir.

Not so in South America. The greater part of the world's lithium saves are available around here. Here it is blended in with salt under the white layer of salt water lakes. It's not difficult to eliminate.

Water is removed from the lake and permitted to dissipate . Along these lines , the water dissipates and the lithium -rich material remaining parts. Synthetic compounds are then used to isolate the lithium .

Right now , India is reliant upon imports for a few minerals like lithium, nickel and cobalt.

Talking to the 62nd gathering of the main Geological programming Board , Mines Secretary Vivek Bhardwaj had said that essential minerals are required all over , be it cell phones or sun powered chargers.

He expressed that to become independent, the nation genuinely should find and deal with significant minerals.
