"It's not worth a Broken penny," says a Ukrainian official involved in peace talks with Russia

Mykhailo Podolyak, a Ukrainian presidential adviser and peace negotiations negotiator, stated on Saturday that no agreement with Russia can be trusted, and that Moscow can only be stopped from invading Ukraine by force

Mr Podolyak remarked on the Telegram messaging platform, "Any arrangement with Russia isn't worth a broken coin." "Can you deal with a country that lies cynically and propagandistically all the time?"

After peace talks stagnated, with the last confirmed face-to-face conversations on March 29, Russia and Ukraine have blamed each other. Ukraine has shown no readiness to continue peace talks, according to the Kremlin, while Kyiv authorities blame Russia for the lack of progress.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Monday that only Russian President Vladimir Putin was willing to meet with him to discuss how to end the war.

President Putin claims that Russian forces are conducting a special operation in Ukraine to demilitarise the country and cleanse it of anti-Russian radicals. Ukraine and its allies accuse Russia of using this as a pretext to invade Ukraine on February 24.

Mr. Podolyak stated, "Russia has proven that it is a barbarian country that poses a threat to global security." "The only way to stop a barbarian is to use force."
