Kanhaiya Lal murder: CM Gehlot alleges “the killing was aimed at spreading terror”

The CM also directed the concerned authorities to maintain law and order in the state and urged to take strict actions against those who try to disrupt the harmony

After a killing of a 47-year-old tailor Kanhaiya Lal Teli in Rajasthan, chief minister Ashok Gehlot has confirmed that a case has been registered underb Unlawful Activities Act. The CM further added that the killing aimed at spreading disharmony in the state. 


Taking on to Twitter, CM Gehlot wrote, “Police officials said, preliminary investigation revealed that the incident was prima facie aimed at spreading terror. It has also been reported that the two accused have been contacted in other countries.” 


The CM also directed the concerned authorities to maintain law and order in the state and urged to take strict actions against those who try to disrupt the harmony.


Kanhaiya Lal was tailor who had a shop in Rajasthan’s Udaipur. He killed after he extended his support to former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma over her controversial remark over Prophet Mohammad. His killing has sparked massive protest across Rajasthan. In view of dishormany in the state, the authorities have suspended internet services in Rajasthan.
