Senior police and civil administration officers accompanied Sinha.

The LG paid a visit to Sheikh’s family in Uri, a district in north Kashmir. According to officials, he interacted with the fallen officer’s family members and expressed his sympathies.

Sinha said on Twitter that the country is privileged to have such sons of the soil.

“I paid tribute to heroic JKP Martyr Mudasir Ahmad’s family members at their Uri residence.” Mudasir is one of the nation’s blessed sons of the soil. “The great sacrifice of Braveheart will be remembered forever,” he remarked.

On May 25, Sheikh was killed in an encounter near the Najibhat crossing in Baramulla’s Kreeri region.

According to authorities, three Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were also killed in the confrontation.
