MHA’S SPECIAL CAMPAIGN FOR CLEANILESS FETCHES 1.41 CRORES BY SEELING 90,00SQ FT OF SCRAP

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) under Amit Shah, it made Rs. 1.41 crore by selling scrap as part of a campaign to promote cleanliness. The ministry reported that a cleaning campaign called Special Campaign 2.0 that was held in October freed up more than 90,000 square feet of area.


According to a statement from the MHA, a cleaning drive was carried out as part of the Special Campaign 2.0 at 11,559 campaign locations, including the field and outstation offices with a public interface.


The Ministry claimed during the campaign that pendency in a number of categories, including "public grievances and PG appeals were also swiftly resolved," as well as "MP references, Parliamentary assurances, IMC references, State government references, PMO references, and IMC references."


It said that throughout the exercise, 5.15 lakh files across the Ministry and its affiliated and subordinate departments were identified for evaluation. 4.77 lakh of these files have been evaluated, and 2.81 lakh have been eliminated.


"Scrap disposal earnings of Rs. 1,40,99,510 have been reported so far. 90,525 square feet of space has also been freed," the MHA's statement mentioned.
