P Chidambaram suffers fracture in his rib during Congress' protest in Delhi against ED

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram suffered a fracture in his rib after getting pushed by the police during the protest against Enforcement Directorate’s summon against party leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

"Former Union Minister and senior leader P Chidambaram suffered a fracture in his left rib after he was pushed away by Police today during the party's protest in Delhi," Congress said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Chidambaram while talking to the media claimed that summons to Rahul Gandhi was "baseless" and alleged that ED is a puppet of the BJP and is being used to intimidate the opposition parties.

"I speak as a Congress member and an advocate. The ED's summons to Mr. Rahul Gandhi under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) is baseless." Chidambaram said.

Also, several party workers were detained when they were heading towards joining the 'Satyagraha march' against the ED. A large number of party workers were also gathered outside party headquarters and were seen holding national and party flags.

The workers who were protesting against the investigation agency were holding placards that read'Satyamev Jayate' (Truth Alone Triumphs) and "Will not fear, will not bow, will fight for truth anyhow'
