Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Friday slammed the BJP by accusing them of contriving a plot to kill him. he also claimed that the recent ink attack against him was also a "well-planned conspiracy."

"The government wants to get me killed to break the Tikait family and the Sangathan (union). But this will never happen... If some harm comes to one Tikait, then lakhs of Tickets are ready to raise the Inquilabi flag in the country," Rakesh Tikait said.

The remarks from Tikait came while he was addressing a meeting in BKU at Dharmeshwari Farm in Jangethi village of Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.

The farmer leader also compared his ink attack with the Killing of the father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi. He said that people who raise questions for the nation are being targeted by the conspirators.

He also accused the government of trying hard to disturb the unity of BKU. Tikait also lashed out at Yogi Adityanath-led-government in Uttar Pradesh, saying that the state government was not talking to the farmers to resolve certain problems.

On May 30, when Rakesh Tikait was addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, miscreants disrupted the venue and splattered ink on his face.
