RBI TO PULL OUT 2000 DENOMINATIONS FROM MARKET

On May 19, RBI announced that they will stop Rs 2000 note circulation and with withdraw all the denominations.


      To ensure operational convenience and avoid disruption in normal at disruption of regular activities of bank branches, exchange of Rs 2,000 notes into notes of other denominations can be made upto a limit of Rs 20,000 at a time at any branch starting from May 23 as said in order . The exchange will continue upto Sept 30


      The exchange limit at a time for each person will be Rs 20,000. That means the public can exchange only 10 Rs 2000 notes worth Rs 20,000 at a time in a bank during the exchange period.
