Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Ayodhya on Wednesday morning where he is slated to lay the foundation stone of Ram Mandir's Garbhagriha. A large number of saints and seers have been invited to the ceremony. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya will also take part in the event.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra (SRJBTK) on Monday stated the construction of Ram Mandir is in full swing. SRJBTK was set up by the government in February 2020 for the management and construction of the temple.

The Ram temple construction committee Chairman Nripendra Misra's office stated, "Proven and tested quality of granite stone is being procured from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The Container Corporation of India, Ministry of Railways, has extended full support in the speedy movement of granite to Ayodhya. The superstructure of the temple will have carved Rajasthan Bansi Paharpur stone. The carving work has already begun. Till now, approximately 75,000 ft (cubic feet) of stone carving have been completed. The total requirement is about 4.45 lakh cut stone for the superstructure alone in the temple."

The construction of the sanctum sanctorum is expected to be complete in December 2023, and by 2025, the three-story temple will be thrown open for the devotees.
