Dr Sudipta Mishra- An iconic literary legend

Legends are born once in millenia. One such literary icon of international calibre and global repute  is Dr. Sudipta Mishra from Eastern state of India , the land of literature and intellectual depth Odhisa. She has through her tapestry of words shinned across national and global spectrum.

Sudipta means lighting lamp and Mishra Significance is of softness. Dr. Sudipta Mishra reflecting truly to her name is a lighting lamp of softness illuminating minds.

She is a personality of multiple visions and talents.  Her aura is amazing. As Artist and dancer excelling in various fields of art and culture hailing from rich and diverse state of Odhisa.

She has weaved more than a hundred books. Her book, 'The Essence of Life', is credited with Amazon best seller and 'The Songs of My Heart' is scaling newer heights of glory. Her poems are a beautiful amalgamation of imagery and metaphors. She garnered numerous accolades from international literary organisations like the famous Rabindranath Tagore Memorial. She regularly pens articles in newspapers as a strong female voice against gender discrimination, global warming, domestic violence against women, pandemics and the ongoing wars.

Dr. Sudipta Mishra as a sngle child of her  parents has been epitome of struggle with valor . She lost  father at an early age. Her mother was a principal in a high school. So  maternal grandmother brought her up in a most beautiful way. She became her inspiration. She was a writer of the then-era. Whatever she is today is because of the constant love that her granny poured  on me unconditionally. However, her grandmother laid the foundation of  writing from her childhood.                                                                  

Sudipta Mishra academic life was extremely fulfilling.  She was a bright student. At the college level, she was a topper in her state. So even now she cherish her brilliant career with golden memories of winning so many challenges at the academic level.

She had  just started literary life. She  published first book in 2019. So as a budding author, she wishes to explore a successful writing journey in the coming days. So far she has  oauthored 100 books to my credit. She has also published six solo books.

She believes women before being a wife, friend , sister is a human first that makes Dr. Sudipta Mishra an unbelievable tninker.

Her poem mute doll that I am quoting deserves special appreciation as it is one of my favorites.

The Mute Doll

There  was a doll, so beautiful

pretty eyes and lovely lips

Then came a man

Master in the art of stagecraft 

He played with the puppet 

The dummy obeyed its master

Everything went well

The magic was lauded by all

The roly-poly toy became everyone's favorite

In the World of Deception,

The doll played so well

It swayed with the blowing air

Never did it disobey the commands

It rose to fame

With golden wings

To touch the sky

Suddenly the strings were cut

The master died

Now,  the doll was in foul hands

The dumb doll failed to listen to the multiple voices

Nobody loved the voiceless, poor fellow

Now,  the mute doll is left in a glass case

With drooping eyes,

it greets everyone at the doorstep

Nodding its head in a slightly tilted face!

 The World Union Of Poets, which is famed as one of the prestigious organizations has awarded writer,  Dr. Sudipta Mishra for her literary merit. Knight Silvano Bartolazzi who is the Founding President and World President of the World Union Of Poets has nominated Sudipta from India for her scholarly works.

Undoubtedly,  Dr. Sudipta Mishra is a icon of million attributes.
