RICHARLISON'S STUNNING GOAL AGAINST SERBIA IN THE FIFA WORLD CUP FOR BRAZIL

At the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Lusail, Brazil, the heavy favourites, beat Serbia 2-0 thanks to a sensational double from Richarlison.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison gave the South American country much to rejoice for on Thursday with a miracle goal at the Lusail Stadium as Brazil opened their FIFA World Cup 2022 with a commanding 2-0 victory over Serbia. Their leader Neymar was spotted crying after suffering an ankle injury, which was a worrying sight.

Just after the hour mark, Richarlison scored the game's first goal after advancing to the goal after Vinicius Jr.'s effort had been blocked.

He saved his best for last, though, scoring with a fantastic acrobatic scissor kick in the 73rd minute after handling a cross from Vinicius.

After the 25-year-old was forced off the field with a calf injury while playing for Spurs in a Premier League match against his previous team Everton in the middle of October, there were concerns he wouldn't make the Brazil squad for the competition.

The Tottenham striker scored his first goal in the 63rd minute, giving the Selecao, who had been struggling to keep up with Serbia for more than an hour, a breakthrough. The 25-year-old increased the lead ten minutes later with an incredible goal for his country. He has now netted nine goals for Brazil overall this year.

Neymar was observed hobbling after being substituted in the 80th minute of Brazil's Group G opening against Serbia. A picture of his swollen right ankle would undoubtedly give Brazil coach Tite and his supporters a few restless nights.
