Andhra Pradesh: 5 women labourers charred to death after high-tension wire falls on autorickshaw

In a shocking incident, an autorickshaw caught fire in Satya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh leading to five female labourers being charred to death. the autorickshaw caught fire after a high tension fell on it.


At the time of the incident, the autorickshaw was carrying 12 passengers who were farm labourers. 


Informing about the incident, police stated, “After the high-tension wire fell on the autorickshaw, the vehicle immediately caught fire. some of the passengers were able to evade the fire by jumping out of the rickshaw, but unfortunately, five of the passengers could save their lives”,


Soon after the incident, police rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. Locals were also seen helping the police to save douse the fire and save the stranded passengers.


Five women labourers who lost their lives in the incident were identified as Kumari (35), Ratnamma (35), Lakshmi Devi (32), Ramulamma (35) and Kantamma (32).
