Brig B.D Mishra is new lieutenant Governor of Ladakh

President Draupadi Murmu has accepted the the resignation of Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Radha Krishnan Mathur and Retired Brigadier BD Mishra has been made the LG of Ladakh in his place.  Presently BD Mishra is the Governor of Arunachal. 

In the midst of the ongoing agitation by the Ladakhi people demanding statehood and special status under the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, the Center today appointed a new Lieutenant Governor for the Union Territory of Ladakh.

 The country's president Draupadi Murmu appointed Brigadier BD Mishra as the LG of Ladakh.
