President of PFI Delhi, Pervez Ahmad, General Secretary of PFI Delhi, Md. Ilias and Office Secretary of PFI Delhi, Abdul Muqeet have been booked for a seven-day interrogation in custody by a special court in Delhi. The leaders will be interrogated on the grounds of their suspected involvement in money laundering disguised as cash donations.

During the interrogation, the authorities will present statements and recovered papers to the three parties, and also send their mobile phones for forensic inspection in their presence.

According to claims made by Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday, President of PFI Delhi, Pervez Ahmed has been involved in a criminal conspiracy since 2018. The leader has admitted the act of managing fund collection in Delhi.

Investigations have discovered that the fund-raising effort fraudulently claimed support from PFI. The statements by supposed donors have regarded these transactions to be fraudulent. Therefore money has been illegally collected from dubious sources.

New evidence, such as comments made by alleged donors, evidence collected from different locations, and Perwez Ahmad's reluctant behaviour during investigation, have deepened concern about his involvement in money laundering, ED states.

The ED has ordered for interrogation regarding the leaders' involvement in concealment of money, its possession and usage. The examination plays a significant role in revealing their role in unlawful activities, investigating sources of these funds, and comprehending their modus operandi.

The ED also stated that the PMLA investigation executed against PFI in 2018 revealed that over 120 Crore rupees had been deposited to the accounts of PFI.
