A petrol bomb was hurled at RSS member Seetharaman's house located at Chitlapakkam in Tambaram near Chennai, Tamil Nadu today. The police are investigating the incident and laying efforts to nab the two unidentified accused people.

According to Seetharaman, they heard a loud sound followed by a fire outburst outside the residence. Initially mistaken as a short circuit, they doused the fire and reported the incident to police. The officials then collected the footage.

The state underwent spontaneous incidents of violence on Friday, such as stone pelting on policemen, public transport buses and shops. According to reports, a few cops got injured and the windows of the buses were completely crushed.

A similar incident was reported in Kovaipudur in Coimbatore, where two anonymous individuals threw a petrol bomb at another RSS executive's residence. This led to strengthening of security in the region. Following this, two unidentified people commuting on a bike attacked an RSS office in Kannur, Kerala. Investigation is underway in this case.

All three incidents have been reported in a brief period of 24 hours and demonstrate similar modus operandi.
