Joe Biden's prostate cancer spread to his bones, the world is concerned

Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with a very aggressive prostate cancer, which already spread to his bones. This was revealed in a press statement released by Biden's office on Sunday.

As per physicians, following some urinary complaints in Biden's body, tests revealed a nodule in the prostate gland. It was found that it was cancerous and very high. His cancer has a Gleason score of 9, which as per the American Cancer Society reflects the most complicated and severe stage.

Though this cancer is "hormone-sensitive", i.e., hormone-dependent, physicians hope that it can be kept in check if therapy is initiated. The press release stated, "Though the disease is slightly more aggressive, since it is hormone-dependent, it can be well controlled. The president and his family are having discussions with doctors regarding the possible treatment regimen."

Joe Biden's oldest son, Beau Biden, passed away from brain cancer in 2015, so the new cancer report is a personal emotional blow to the Biden family.

Even long-time political adversary and ex-President Donald Trump offered his sympathies, stating, "We offer our sincere condolences to Jill and the Biden family and wish Joe a speedy recovery."

Incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, who opposed Trump in last year's election to succeed Biden, stated, "Joe is a fighter. I know he will meet this challenge with the same determination, confidence, and positivity that has always defined his life."

Ex-President Barack Obama X (now Twitter) posted, "Michelle and I are thinking and praying for the Biden family. Joe's impact on the fight against cancer research is invaluable. I am sure he will emerge victorious in this fight."

Joe Biden's debate performance prior to the 2024 election was harshly criticized. He pulled out of the race in July last year. His poor health and memory have been a point of discussion ever since.

A recent old quote by Biden has surfaced, where he mentioned in 2022, "I have cancer." While the White House stated then that he was referring to a skin cancer surgery prior to his presidency, which has already been treated successfully.

Joe Biden, 82, has a tough road ahead. Given his physical state, his doctors and family are searching for potential treatment. While prostate cancer is curable if detected in the early stages, cancer that spreads to the bones tends to need long-term and complicated treatment.

One in eight men in the United States will develop prostate cancer sometime during their lifetimes, according to the American Cancer Society. While it is frequently curable, it is the second most common cause of cancer death in men.

Joe Biden's battle is not only a political leader's personal agony, but it also has a large message - early treatment, faith and mental strength can indicate hope even against a horrific disease.

The entire world is looking at Biden right now. Everyone wishes him to get well soon and return, as always with the same determination.
