First baby born in Mizoram: India gets its first 'Gen Beta'

The first child of India under the "Gen Beta" tag - a boy - was born today in Aizawl, Mizoram. In simple words, the newborn child is one of the earliest of the Generation Beta; the term beta refers to kids born from the year 2025 onwards, and this refers to the succeeding generation after the Gen Alpha generation.

The new baby born at a local Aizawl hospital is not just the beginning of a new generation but of a time when advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, and society are constantly on the move. Experts say Gen Beta will be most different in terms of education, the way people work, and lifestyles, governed by novel creations and challenges worldwide.

Serene landscapes and a progressive literacy rate make Mizoram stand in history for something special- as the first birth of Gen Beta in India. The parents are elated, though unaware of the symbolic value that the child they bore carries.

Sociologists and demographers of the world had predicted that there would be a more technological, environmentally conscious, and much more interlinked generation, which will be just all of that, and also much more. It talks about the need to have a more sophisticated and fast-changing world, within the shifting global priorities.

This baby born in Aizawl heralded the birth into this world of Gen Beta.
