Handwara, June 20: Prominent social and political activist from North Kashmir’s Rajwar area, Mr. Javid Mir, today visited PM Shri High School Lachampora and expressed serious concern over the alarming deficiency of staff at the institution.

During his visit, Mr. Mir was informed that out of six sanctioned Master posts, only one is currently filled, while the remaining five remain vacant.

Similarly, four Teacher posts are sanctioned two are vacant and the other two teachers are reportedly on deployment elsewhere.

In addition, the school is facing a shortage in non-teaching staff.

The post of Junior Assistant is vacant at the school as the designated employee is currently working at the ZEO office Zachaldara.

The Physical Education Teacher (PET) post is also vacant, and no deployment has been made to address the gap.

Mr. Javid Mir termed the situation as highly unfortunate and stressed that such a critical shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff directly hampers the academic future of students in the area.

He appealed to the Honourable Lieutenant Governor, the Chief Minister, the local MLA, and the Director of School Education to take immediate action and ensure the posting of adequate staff to the school.

He further emphasized that the government must treat such educational deficiencies on a priority basis to safeguard the future of students in remote and underserved areas like Lachampora.
