A 35‑year‑old man, identified as Mohammed Umar Din, was shot dead on Tuesday evening in the Nand Nagri area of Northeast Delhi, police said, triggering a formal investigation into the case.
The shooting took place near the premises of Bade School, within the jurisdiction of the Nand Nagri Police Station. After the incident, family members rushed the injured man to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, officials added.
