Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is the film that brought Bollywood's beloved Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, to the scene and it retains a place in the hearts of fans even after all these years. This classic was recently screened once again at the Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai.

Aamir accompanied the Friday premiere with his cousin and director, Mansoor Khan. They embarked on a trip down memory lane, recalling hilarious behind-the-scenes anecdotes and experiences from Aamir's very first movie.

Aamir Khan Recalls His Early Years with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak

Post seeing the screening, Aamir informed PTI, "Nasir sahab, Nuzhat, and I were engaged in writing the screenplay when Mansoor was occupied with 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.' Nasir sahab fell ill and had to undergo a bypass surgery.

He informed Mansoor that if he would like to direct the script, he was welcome to do so."

"Mansoor enjoyed the idea, but when he came on board, he rewrote roughly 80 percent of what we had done earlier. For Nasir sahab and me, it was a relief because Nasir sahab was someone we had trouble disagreeing with.

His thought process was not the same as ours, so we were glad to see the script taking a path we would have liked."

Did you know the title of the movie was changed prior to release? Aamir made known, "We had initially named it Nafrat Ke Waris and even created a poster with that name in Lonavala. It was going to be a love story with a bit of jeopardy, but we didn't wind up using it." The title was really proposed by his uncle.

The Laal Singh Chaddha star also added that he never thought that his film would be such a blockbuster. Looking back at his overnight fame, he accepted that he was not prepared for the limelight that accompanied it.
