One rising favorite is ABC juice – a refreshing blend of apple, beetroot, and cucumber. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, this drink is not only hydrating but also supports digestion and overall wellness. Its simple preparation and nutrient-rich profile are making it a go-to choice for women seeking a balanced daily diet.

Dr Ankurita Gupta, Dietitian at Apollo Cradle & Children’s Hospital in Indirapuram, New Delhi, explains why this combination is effective. For hydration and gentle digestion, cucumber – mostly water – helps keep the body hydrated, while apple adds soluble fiber (pectin) that aids bowel movements. Those switching from sugary packaged drinks to a small glass of ABC juice often notice more stable energy levels and improved satiety between meals.

Beetroot, another key ingredient, is rich in natural nitrates, which may convert to nitric oxide in the body, supporting healthy blood flow and exercise tolerance. While ABC juice is not a performance booster, it can complement an active lifestyle along with proper sleep, protein intake, and regular exercise. Additionally, the juice provides micronutrients like folate, potassium, vitamin C, and polyphenols, helping fill nutritional gaps when vegetables are limited in meals.

Preparing ABC juice is simple. Blend one small apple, half a medium beetroot, and half a small cucumber with 50–100 ml cold water, adding a squeeze of lemon for taste. Retaining the fiber by blending rather than straining is important. For enhanced flavor, a small piece of ginger or a few mint leaves can be added.

Portion control is key. For most adults, 200–250 ml once daily is sufficient, ideally mid-morning or after activity. People with diabetes can pair the juice with protein or healthy fats, such as curd, nuts, or eggs, to reduce glucose spikes.

Some variations can improve nutrition: adding a wedge of orange or amla boosts vitamin C for better iron absorption, or a few spoonfuls of yogurt can increase protein for satiety. A pinch of roasted cumin or black salt can make it tastier without affecting nutrition significantly.

However, caution is advised for individuals prone to kidney stones, those managing blood sugar, or those on multiple blood pressure medications. Overall, ABC juice is an easy, nutrient-packed drink that can fit into a woman’s daily routine, offering hydration, antioxidants, and a natural energy lift.
