The 2019 film, which still connects with viewers today, is set to come back with a new chapter that promises even more exciting moments and engaging storytelling.
On the film's anniversary, Akshay took to social media to post a special clip from 'Kesari' that showcases intense battle scenes featuring the 'Kesari' warriors.
In his post, the actor celebrated the film's success, saying, "Celebrating 6 years of Kesari. Celebrating the spirit of Kesari. Celebrating a new chapter that begins...soon!"
The clip got fans buzzing with excitement, especially since it was announced that 'Kesari 2' is on the way, with more updates expected the next day.
The long-awaited sequel to the historical drama is now set to be released in April 2025, which is a change from the earlier plan to launch it during Holi.
The film is inspired by the life of India's leading barrister, C Sankaran Nair, who fought against the British Raj to reveal the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
In addition to Akshay Kumar, the sequel will feature R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey as part of the cast.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, 'Kesari 2' will introduce a new storyline, focusing on a different plot rather than directly continuing from the original film's events.
