Board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 began across India on February 17, with lakhs of students appearing at examination centres under strict security and monitoring arrangements. The exams are being conducted smoothly, marking an important academic milestone for students preparing for higher education and career opportunities.

The examinations are organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, with more than 43 lakh candidates participating this year. This includes over 25 lakh students from Class 10 and around 18 lakh from Class 12. Examination centres have been set up across the country and in several international locations to accommodate all registered candidates.

Students arrived early at their respective centres carrying admit cards and required materials, while authorities ensured orderly entry and verification procedures. Strict rules have been implemented, including a ban on mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices. Additional surveillance measures such as CCTV monitoring and flying squads have been deployed to prevent unfair practices and ensure transparency.

Officials also issued warnings against rumours related to question paper leaks circulating on social media. Strong action has been promised against anyone involved in spreading misinformation or violating examination guidelines. Students were advised to remain calm, follow instructions, and focus on their performance without being influenced by false claims.

The examination schedule will continue over the next several weeks, with Class 10 exams expected to conclude in March and Class 12 exams ending in April. Authorities expressed confidence in the arrangements and emphasised their commitment to conducting fair and secure examinations.

The beginning of the exams brings a mix of nervousness and determination among students, as these results will play a crucial role in shaping their academic paths and future career options.
