Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan-starrer Border 2 is continuing its strong run at the global box office, showing impressive staying power even after the extended holiday weekend. On its first regular weekday, the war drama managed to hold steady, proving that positive word of mouth is driving audiences to theatres.
According to early estimates, Border 2 earned over ₹19 crore net in India on Tuesday, taking its five-day domestic total to around ₹199.50 crore net. In gross terms, the India collection stands at approximately ₹235.40 crore. The film had a robust opening weekend, boosted by Republic Day, when it reportedly earned around ₹59 crore in a single day.
Internationally, the film is also performing well. It has collected close to $4.5 million overseas so far, pushing its worldwide total to an impressive ₹275 crore within just five days of release. With this momentum, trade analysts expect the film to cross the ₹300 crore global mark very soon, possibly within the next day.
Border 2 has already surpassed the lifetime worldwide collections of several recent big Bollywood hits. The film has beaten Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, both of which had strong box office runs in their time. The film is now aiming to challenge the benchmarks set by other major Hindi war films like Uri and Fighter.
The film features a multi-star cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, along with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh in key roles. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, the film’s success has also sparked talks of a possible Border 3 in the future.
With strong collections, steady weekday performance, and growing audience interest, Border 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Hindi film successes of the year.
