Panaji: Fourteen IndiGo flights scheduled to depart from Goa’s Dabolim airport were cancelled on Saturday amid the continued disruption of the airline’s operations, a senior official confirmed.
The cancellations added to the mounting inconvenience for travellers, many of whom were left waiting outside the terminal after several flights were withdrawn at short notice. Airport staff assisted passengers with rebooking options, though limited availability on alternate services led to long queues at airline counters.
IndiGo has been grappling with operational challenges in recent days, resulting in a wave of nationwide cancellations. The reduced number of flights has affected travel plans during a busy period for the coastal state, which sees high footfall at the start of the tourist season.
Authorities at Dabolim said they were monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with the airline to manage passenger movement and minimise further disruption.
