The trailer of Bejoy Nambiar’s upcoming survival thriller Tu Yaa Main was unveiled on Thursday, offering audiences a tense, action-packed glimpse into a story that blends influencer culture with a deadly fight for survival. The over three-minute-long trailer, released by Colour Yellow on YouTube, stars Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles.
The trailer opens with a nod to the classic revenge drama Khoon Bhari Maang, setting the tone for a gritty narrative. Shanaya plays Miss Vanity, a popular content creator, while Adarsh essays the role of ‘A’, a confident creator from Nalasopara. The two come from contrasting backgrounds but join hands for a collaboration driven by curiosity, clout and chemistry. What begins as light-hearted content creation and daring stunts soon spirals into a nightmare.
As the story unfolds, the duo find themselves trapped in an empty, blood-stained swimming pool, with a bloodthirsty crocodile lurking nearby. The trailer showcases frantic attempts to escape, including breaking glass, crawling through narrow, water-filled tunnels and moments of sheer panic as the predator closes in. In one of the most chilling sequences, Shanaya’s character is seen writhing in pain as the crocodile grabs her, underscoring the life-and-death stakes of their situation.
Social media reactions to the trailer have been largely positive. Fans have praised the intensity and the unexpected turn in Shanaya Kapoor’s on-screen persona. Some viewers also speculated about a twist, suggesting that the crocodile may be blind and attacks based on sound, adding another layer of suspense to the plot.
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Tu Yaa Main is produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma under the banner of Colour Yellow, along with Vinod Bhanushali and Kamlesh Bhanushali of Bhanushali Studios Limited. Shot in Bangkok, the film is rooted in creator-driven culture and aims to present a fresh, youthful take on love, ambition and survival. The film is slated for a theatrical release on February 13.
