Jammu and Kashmir’s Directorate of School Education (DSEJ) has announced Pooja holidays from October 19 to October 23, 2025, for all government and recognized private schools across the region. The break aims to give students the opportunity to celebrate the festival with their families and also provide teachers with some much-needed rest.
According to the official notification, all government and recognized private schools in the Jammu division, including higher secondary levels, will remain closed during this period. No classes or examinations will be conducted during the holidays.
The decision is expected to benefit students’ mental and physical well-being, while also allowing teachers and staff to enjoy the festive season. Local authorities and school administrations have been advised to ensure students’ safety and proper preparation for the celebrations.
