How is the feeling to be out here in Kashmir?
The dream of visiting Kashmir has been long cherished, be it promised by my father or husband, but somehow it couldn't materialise, and finally, in 2022, Autumn, I visited Kashmir alone. It has been a pleasure to visit gorgeous places like Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Srinagar. The Kashmir valley is not just gorgeous, but the heart of the people of Kashmir is amazing, and the hospitality is great. This is my second visit to this place now.
Do you believe the present generation of actors has the same talent as in the previous classic era?
Every generation of actors and actresses has their own plus points. In our era, the passion was the most motivating point while entering the acting world, while in this era, social media is a plus point. Ultimately, in any era, only those actors and actresses succeed who have love towards their skill and talent.
Do you believe social media has negatively impacted the acting talent?
Social media is a good thing. It has made the world a real global village, but on the flip side, even the immature think of themselves as masters and kings of the Kingdom. Today, you see almost everyone has become a film critic without having the desired acumen for it. We need to use social media but also get the desired expertise and knowledge, and the same holds true for actors as well.
How important is theatre for entering the acting world?
I am among a few actors who earn a livelihood and fame through the skill of acting. Theatre is a must for everyone as it makes one learn the importance of teamwork. Only through the foundation of Theatre can we get polished actors and actresses who can shine in the acting world. Theatre is highly pivotal in the progress of humanity.
