A bizarre yet disturbing cyber fraud promising easy money and free sex has been uncovered in Bihar’s Nawada district. The scam, dubbed the so-called “All India Pregnant Job,” lured men with online advertisements claiming they could earn up to ₹10 lakh by impregnating childless women.
According to police, fraudsters circulated misleading ads on Facebook and WhatsApp, using attractive names such as “Playboy Service,” “All India Pregnant Service,” and even fake loan offers under labels like “SBI Cheap Loans” and “Dhani Finance.” The pitches promised high rewards, claiming that even failed attempts would fetch half the amount.
Victims were targeted with photographs of women, often models, and were tempted with promises of free sex and quick money. However, before any meeting could take place, the men were asked to pay “initial charges” in the name of registration fees, hotel bookings, or processing costs. Once payments were made, the demands continued, eventually draining victims of their savings.
Many victims hesitated to approach authorities due to fear of social stigma, allowing the scam to continue unchecked.
The Nawada Cyber Police, acting on specific inputs, busted the racket and arrested Ranjan Kumar, a local resident. A minor involved in the operation has also been taken into custody. Police recovered four mobile phones used to carry out the fraud. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act, officials said.
Superintendent of Police Abhinav Dhiman confirmed that similar cyber frauds have surfaced in the district earlier, often involving blackmail and extortion. Despite previous arrests, the same tactics continued with new victims.
Police have now urged the public to remain cautious of “too-good-to-be-true” offers circulating on social media and to immediately report suspicious advertisements. Authorities stressed that awareness and timely reporting are key to curbing such cybercrimes.
